The Fabric

Cotton Canvas, Softened by Stonewashing

Cotton canvas begins with a closely woven structure prized for its substantial hand and lasting durability. Stonewashing softens that structure and gently relaxes the surface, giving this 100% cotton fabric its broken-in feel and subtly varied, garment-dyed color. Oversized box stitching adds quiet dimension to the coverlets and quilted shams, while the duvet cover and swatches show the same canvas without fill. Polyester fill adds light loft to the coverlets and quilted shams, and the long lumbar uses waterfowl feathers for a softer, fuller shape. The result is an easygoing foundation with the strength of canvas and the comfort of a well-loved layer.
